There have been changes to the game, including an added leader board, but a lot of things essentially look the same. And the servers are either just as non-existent or inaccessible as they were months ago, which was the last time I played this game. So my only option is "quick play" with CPU (which isn't the reason why I bought this in the first place), and after many attempts, that hasn't even worked. It says, "Could not find suitable server to connect to." Despite this game and Battlerite having a very similar graphic style and look, what distinguishes the two games isn't only that the latter is a MOBA game while this one a combat one, but also that the latter (Battlerite) is actually successful. $12 down the drain.. OverpowerStill In Early AccessOverpower can be best described as a combination of MOBA and MMO genres. It is a third person shooter where you have multiple game modes at your disposal. The game modes available here are Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Last team standing, control points and critter capture, all of which are pretty basic affairs for a multiplayer focused game. The gameplay of Overpower is fast and fluid where there is little to no complaint about the standard shooting. There are 4 classes available in Overpower which are the main selling point. They are as follows:AssassinMageRogueArcherAs is visible, all of the classes play very differently and bring a lot of different abilities to the battlefield. They all have choices of different weapons and a class ability. There is also a gem ability aside from the class abilities which are more unique such as cursing an assassin’s knife which does huge damage to the opponent. Each hero comes with his/her own 5 special gem abilities which if used correctly can turn the tide of a battle. There are 10 maps in total to play around in which is a fair amount considering it’s still in early access. The graphics of Overpower reminds me of games like Orcs must die, which I adored. There is a cartoony feel as you play the game and even when it is low-res, it looks lovely. There is a very serious lack of players online which might not be that big of a trouble when the game comes out of development. There are a couple of bugs here and there too but nothing game breaking. The game is receiving patches and updates at a fairly fast rate which makes it look like a game with high potential. Overpower caters to a lot of gamers needs with good graphics, a fair amount of maps and game modes and fleshed out character classes. First off let me say that the game has amazing potential and I really hope it takes that potential and runs with it to create the fun, rewarding game I know it can be.Pro's:1. Skill Based Combat : Aiming\/Timing is key in this game especially when playing a ranged base character. There is plenty of room for players to outplay one another and I love that and im sure plenty of other pvp junkies do too. Nothing like going in a fight with low hp and out playing a full hp player.2. Variety: There are 4 different classes to choose from, with plans to add more in the future. Each class has a choice of a few weapons each with a variety of effects from slowing people with auto attacks to burning them over time etc... On top of each class having different weapons they each have the ability to choose two skills out of a list of a couple of skills adding a huge variety of gameplay styles mixing and matching skills and weapons.3. Gameplay Modes\/Map Variety: There are several modes to choose from, ranging from a control point to last man standing and others. There also is a handfull of unique maps to play on with a nice unique medieval twist.Con's: *Note this is a Early Access game so I understand bugs and whatnot are to be expected, just some thoughts on what i feel needs some love*1. Bot AI can use a little bit of work, occasionally i've seen them get stuck or fall off maps. Also they can sometimes take a while to find each other when it comes down to only bots left. For the most part though they aren't too bad and do occasional suprise me with some nasty combos2. Balancing: I know its early access and I would love to see a few tweaks to certain skills etc... Not to worried about this the devs seem very active and open to feedback and im sure in due time well get some balance changes. But for the most part I seem to be able to kill any of the other classes with any class.So overall I think this game has HUGE potential and look forward to seeing how it develops over the course of its early access cycle. I can not wait to play ranked games against other players and climb the leaderboards or level my class to earn class based rewards, features i've heard that will eventually be coming our way. I'd give the game a solid 8\/10 with potential to be a 10\/10 as it progresses. This game truly does have the potential to be a pvp junkies paradise!. Overpower is an awesome brawler game that causes many tense up, edge-of-your-seat moments. The game is easy to pickup and play, all the while having lots of replay value through experimenting with the several classes and many unique gem loadouts. OP's stages look amazing and each have a particular ambiance. A great thing about this game is the developers are very involved, regularly adding new things and making tweaks. Their dedication is apparent in how polished the game looks and feels. Also, there are no hitscan weapons in the game, so combat feels very fun and satisfying. I recommend this game for sure, especially for the price.
